Annual national electricity indicators for Syria: total generation, the fuel mix (gas, oil, hydro, solar), fossil and renewable shares, demand, demand per capita, and power-sector emissions—a picture of the electricity crisis and the energy sector’s recovery.

One source, national and annual

These electricity indicators come entirely from Ember as national annual values: how much power Syria generates, what fuels it, and how little reaches each person. They picture the electricity crisis and a slow recovery — grid figures that may miss the private generators widespread during shortages.

Almost entirely fossil, and it barely moves

Reading limits

Values are national and annual, compiled by Ember from official and international sources with some figures modelled to fill gaps. Grid generation and demand may not capture the private generators widespread during the crisis, and none of this is a governorate measurement.
