Syria Data Observatory

About the Observatory

An Arabic-first public-data product that brings together sourced data on Syria and publishes it with context, methods, and limitations.

What does it publish?

Indicators and dashboards on population and displacement, agriculture, food and climate, economy and trade, and humanitarian funding, supported by geographic layers.

Where does the data come from?

Named international institutions and open sources. Every dataset presents its source, license, coverage, retrieval status, and retained version history.

What does it not claim?

The Observatory does not replace original sources, present delayed data as current, or conceal gaps. Comparisons remain bounded by each source's definitions, periods, and coverage.

Governance and corrections

Sanad operates the Observatory and documents sources and refresh schedules. We review reported issues and correct confirmed data or presentation errors while retaining version history.

Questions and corrections
